How do I prepare for my Spray Tan?
Take a shower and exfoliate with an oil-free product, preferably the day before.  Make sure to remove all shampoo, soaps, lotions, make-up, deodorant and perfumes. After showering refrain from applying any moisturizers or creams. Although our products are oil-free and won’t stain your clothes we suggest wearing or bringing loose, dark clothing and flip-flops to your appointment to avoid anything rubbing to closely to your tan while it’s setting.

What should I expect upon arrival?
We will do a quick color consultation at your appointment to determine the perfect solution for your skin tone, based on your personal preference and skin type.

What should I expect after my spray tan?
You will feel sticky at first but try not to touch your skin too much before you shower. Do not allow your skin to come in contact with any water or product until your tan has fully developed (this will depend on which solution you had applied). This means no make-up, moisturizer, and no activities that will cause you to sweat until after your first shower. When you first shower avoid bar soaps, exfoliants and oil-based products. You are simply rinsing off.  For best results, use a water based moisturizer all over. Keeping your skin moisturized and limiting water exposure will mean longer lasting results and more natural, even fading.

How long does it take?
The whole process takes about 20 minutes.

What do I wear?
Essentially, this is the decision of the client. You may undress to your comfort level. Any clothing you choose to wear during the session (undergarments/bathing suit) can simply be laundered once in a normal cycle to remove the solution. After the application, all clients should wear loose clothing, black is best, and flip-flop type footwear. We also suggest not wearing a bra until after you shower. If you plan to allow your tan to develop overnight then we suggest wearing a long sleeve top and long pants to bed, in order to avoid skin to skin contact.

How long does the tan last?
With the proper skincare before and after your application, your results will typically last 7-10 days. Your skin should stay moisturized and products with harsh chemicals, exfoliants and heavy oils should be avoided.

Why is all of my tan coming off in the shower?
Each of our solutions contains a bronzer that will rinse off in the shower. This is normal. The DHA is still developing so your skin will continue to darken as the solutions progresses even after your first shower.

If you come to my house, will the application make a mess?

The  equipment we use creates an isolated spray and dissipates in the air, meaning it doesn't show up on nearby furniture, walls or the floor. We also bring in a professional backdrop and spot check the floor for residue. It's important to note that if the solution were to get on a wall or curtain for any reason, it can be simply removed with water or laundered once in a normal cycle to remove the solution.

Additional Tips and Ways to Maintain Your Tan:

  • Refrain from body waxing & facials immediately prior to your tan
  • Nail polish applications, Eyebrow waxing, threading & eyelash extensions should be applied prior to your tan
  • Again, you should not have on any lotion, make-up, sunscreen, perfume or oils at the time of your tan
  • Sweating or getting wet prior to your first shower post tanning can cause streaks
  • Once spray tanned do not exfoliate until your tan starts to fade away; since shaving is a form of exfoliation we suggest limiting this activity
  • Water based & Paraben- free lotions and moisturizers are recommended to maintain your tan
  • Spray tanning will not protect you from UV Rays! Wear sunscreen- it will protect you from sunburns and moisturize your skin!
